Hot Buttered Rum Mix
Ingredients
1/2 lb Better, room temperature

1 qt Vanilla ice cream, barely softened

1 lb Confectioner's sugar

1 lb Light brown sugar

Light rum

8 1/2 qt Hot water

Ground nutmeg for garnish

Preparation
This drink is very good without the rum so the kids can enjoy it too. In a 2 qt. bowl mix the butter and sugars with an electric mixer. Stir in the soft ice cream. Put mixture in freezer container and store in freezer.



To mix drinks: In a large metal or plactic bowl use all of the mix from this recipe and add 8 1/2 quarts of HOT water. Serve from punch bowl. Mix with rum to taste and garnish with a dash of nutmeg. Recipe By : The Frugal Gourmet -Anchor Hocking ad
