Italian Sausage Strata
Ingredients
1/2 lb Italian sausage

1/2 cup Chopped green pepper

1 medium Chopped onion

1 can Drained tomatoes, (16 oz.)

1/2 Loaf Italian bread

3 Eggs

2 1/2 cup Milk

1 tsp Salt

Grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation
Remove casing from sausage. Brown sausage in large skillet for 10 minutes, breaking it up with wooden spoon. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped green pepper and chopped onion. Cook another 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook 15 minutes. Slice Italian bread. Place half the slices in bottom of a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Spread with sausage mixture. Top with remaining bread. Beat eggs; stir in milk and salt. Pour over bread and sausage; sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake 1 hour in 325 degrees oven. Serves 4.
