1/2 cup Chopped onion, or more
1 lb Ground beef
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 can (6-oz) tomato paste
2 can (15-oz) kidney beans, drained
1 cup Grated cheddar cheese, or more
Paprika

Saute onions & beef until browned. Stir in salt, pepper & tomato paste. Spoon half this mixture into a 1-1/2 quart casserole. Top with half the kidney beans, then half the cheese. Repeat layers in same order with remaining meat, beans & cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until top browns. Yields 6-8 servings.
