3/4 cup Ground beef
3/4 cup Potato, raw, coarsely ground
1/4 cup Onion, coarsely ground
2 tbsp Green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp Salt
1 Egg
Drippings or fat
1 cup Tomato juice
1 tbsp Flour

Mix all ingredient except fat, tomateo, and flour. Form into 4 patties. Brown patties on both sides in fat in skillet. Add tomateo juice. Cover and simmer slowly until done, about 25 minutes. Remove and serve hot. Mix flour with a little water and stir slowly into tomato juice. cook slowly, stirring constantly until thickened. Pour sauce over cakes.
NOTES : Also works as a small casserole type dish. Than add 1 C. corn.
